Ran Bukshpan
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Since 2009, Ran Bukshpan has served as President & CEO of Telrad Networks. Prior to joining Telrad, he spent the past 20 years serving in C-level executive roles at the Baran Group and its subsidiaries, Baran Telecom Inc. and Baran Raviv Telecom Ltd.

Most recently, he served for two years as CEO of the Baran Group, a large engineering company responsible for the implementation of large telecommunications and construction projects. For three years prior, Bukshpan served as Chairman & CEO of Baran Telecom Inc., a U.S.-based subsidiary that specializes in providing outsourced network solutions to the wireless telecommunications industry. While he was appointed CEO of Baran Raviv Telecom, he also served as the Communications Division President for three years (from 2000-2003). He began his career in 1988 at the Baran Group and was ultimately promoted to CEO. He holds a B.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Ruthy Smadja

Ruthy Smadja
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Ruthy Smadja is the CFO of Telrad Networks, with a proven track record in providing fiduciary oversight for large, complex operations. She has served in senior financial executive roles for the past ten years. Smadja focuses on global financial strategy and planning. Smadja also contributed her financial and technology sector expertise to the management team.

Prior to joining Telrad, she served as the CFO of NUR Macroprinters Ltd, a company that was acquired in 2008 by HP (NYSE, Nasdaq: HPQ). Smadja holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Management from the College of Business Management, Israel, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).


Mark Altshuller
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Mark Altshuller is the chief technology officer of Telrad, responsible for overseeing global technology, strategy and product development for the company. Prior to joining Telrad, he served as CTO at Alvarion, where he guided the development of an innovative, advanced line of wireless network technologies.

During his nine years at Alvarion, he also served as Senior Director of the WiMAX Product Line and Director of the WiMAX Network. Earlier in his career, he defined product requirements at both Nortel and Telrad, leading regional teams in product management, testing and pre-sale activities.  As one of the founding members of the WiMAX Forum, his 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry have helped shape the standards for WiMAX network architecture. Altshuller holds ten patents, and earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computing Engineering from the Ben Gurion University in Israel.

Daniel Levy

Daniel Levy
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development

Daniel Levy is currently the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Telrad, with a proven track record in generating results in direct sales management and channel development for leading technology companies. Most recently, he served as VP and General Manager for Africa and the Middle East for four years.

Prior to joining Alvarion, he served in senior executive roles for nearly two decades, contributing his expertise to a wide range of companies including Mainnet, Infogate and Cisco Systems. He is fluent in French, English and Hebrew, and has earned his MBA as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.


Uri Dotan
General Manager, Latin America

Since 2010, Uri Dotan has served as General Manager of Telrad Networks in Latin America, responsible for business development, sales and operations throughout the region, including the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America.

Prior to joining Telrad, he spent the past eight years serving in C-level executive roles at Leadcom I.S., a publicly traded services company, responsible for all aspects of service delivery including project management, maintenance, infrastructure, operators, and security networks. For three years prior, Dotan served as VP of Marketing at Vocaltec Communication, Ltd., a telecommunications equipment provider. Prior to Vocaltec, he held various leadership roles at Telrad Chile, starting with installation services, and then running all aspects of operations over the course of 18 years.

He began his career in 1974 at the Local Agricultural Flight Company, where he was Chief Operations Officer for the Southern region. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, Spanish and Portuguese. Dotan holds a B.S. in Engineering from Universidad Católica in Uruguay.

Yishai Amsterdamer

Yishai Amsterdamer
Vice President of Research & Development

Since 2013, Yishai Amsterdamer has served as Vice President of Research & Development for Telrad Networks, bringing over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors. In this role, he is responsible for the vision and technology development of Telrad’s LTE portfolio. Prior to joining Telrad, Yishai held executive positions at Alvarion and CopperGate Communications, where he developed high-performance telecommunications products and managed off-shore development teams.

Yishai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel.


Yair Ben-Tov
Vice President of Customer Support and Services

Yair Ben-Tov is serving as the Vice President of Customer Support and Services for Telrad Networks. In this role, he is responsible for providing support services for customer project implementations worldwide. Yair has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. Prior to his current role at Telrad, he has held various positions, leading the development of telecommunication products for world-leading vendors in North America and other global markets. He also served as Vice President of R&D at Telrad and its subsidiary, managing the product development and project management teams. Yair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University.

Chris Daniels
Vice President and Regional General Manager of North America

For over 18 years Chris has been primarily focused on telecommunications, but more recently he has been involved in bringing sensible LTE fixed broadband solutions to the telecom world. Chris is responsible for running Telrad across North America which includes sales, technical support, operations and overall strategic practices in the US, Canada and Caribbean.

Chris has worked in the wireless industry since 2005, joining Telrad after their acquisition of the Alvarion BWA division in 2013, where he served as VP of Sales and later as General Manager of the Americas. Previously, Chris served as an AVP of Product Strategy for Zhone Technologies, focusing on the needs of wireline carriers. Currently setting the standard for fixed broadband wireless, Chris runs a team of experts who are dedicated to providing ISPs and Telcos with the most cost-effective, flexible and reliable LTE solutions.

Berge Ayvazian, Senior Analyst and Consultant, Wireless 20/20

Berge Ayvazian

Berge Ayvazian joined Wireless 20/20 as a Senior Analyst in 2009, following more than 20 years as a senior telecom industry analyst and strategy consultant with Yankee Group, where he served as CEO and co-chairman of the 4G World and Mobile Internet World conference programs. At Wireless 20/20, he leads an integrated practice to help mobile and wireless broadband operators and their vendors to develop their 4G/5G technology roadmaps and build a complete business case leveraging the Wireless 20/20 WiROI™ Business Case Analysis Tools.

He has used these tools to develop operator 4G network business cases, and address the most challenging modeling problems associated with fixed wireless networks, Wi-Fi Offload, Small Cell deployments and 4G networks to serve venues such as stadiums, airports and train stations. Ayvazian also spent five years with UBM as a Senior Analyst/Consultant for Heavy Reading conducting 4G Network and Mobile Internet research on the convergence of broadband and mobility and the evolving business strategies of mobile service providers and their technology vendors. Ayvazian chaired 4G World conferences in the US and India and he continues to serve as the Program Director and Conference Chair of UBM’s Tower & Small Cell Summit. Ayvazian is a frequent speaker at other telecom industry events worldwide.

Robert Finch, President at Select Spectrum‬

Robert Finch

Bob is President of Select Spectrum which provides spectrum marketing and auction management services to organizations seeking to maximize the value and utility of FCC spectrum licenses. The company has supported 196 successful spectrum transactions since 2010.

From 2003 to 2008 Bob was Vice President of Spectrum Development for Nextel and Sprint Nextel where he led the rollup that aggregated mobile broadband spectrum rights averaging 100 MHz nationwide. Bob holds engineering degrees from U.C. Davis and Stanford. He lives in Northern Virginia.

Chris Daniels VP & Regional GM of North America for Telrad

Chris Daniels

Chris Daniels is the Vice President and General Manager of Telrad North America, responsible for sales and operations in the US and Canada. Chris joined Telrad after their acquisition of the Alvarion BWA division, where he served as VP of Sales and later as General Manager of the Americas.

He has served in technical, sales, and management roles during his fifteen years in the telecommunications industry. Prior to entering the wireless industry in 2005, he served as an AVP of Product Strategy for Zhone Technologies.

As a member of the executive engineering team, Chris was responsible for aligning Zhone’s long-term vision with their customers’ next-generation requirements.

Kurt Schaubach, CTO, Federated Wireless

Kurt Schaubach

Kurt Schaubach brings 25 years of wireless industry experience to Federated Wireless where he plays a key role in developing technologies and new business strategies to create the next-generation architecture of broadband wireless. Previously, Kurt served in various engineering roles at the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), NextWave Wireless, LCC International, and Southwestern Bell. He has also served as a technology consultant to wireless network operators, equipment manufacturers, and semiconductor suppliers.

Kurt was a founding member of a publicly traded wireless broadband and multimedia software company and led the acquisition and integration of two wireless infrastructure companies. Kurt has been active in spectrum development, management, and policy matters throughout his career.

He currently serves on the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC) and has spoken at the International Symposium on Advanced Radio Technologies (ISART) events, among many others. Kurt received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. FederatedWireless

Steve Coran, Member of Lerman Senter PLLC

Steve Coran

Mr. Coran’s practice focuses on the representation of fixed wireless broadband providers, equipment and technology companies, educators and wireless companies by serving their policy, transactional and licensing needs.

He actively represents a trade association before the FCC, Congress and other federal agencies in matters involving spectrum policy, Internet regulation, the Universal Service Fund and other proceedings affecting wireless broadband service providers and other wireless technology interests. Mr. Coran has extensive experience in negotiating complex, multi-party transactions for the purchase, sale and financing of established and start-up communications businesses, and also drafts and negotiates interconnection, spectrum lease, tower lease, dark fiber and other agreements. He has also represented financial institutions in connection with public and private investments.

Paul Shanayda

As Co-founder and CEO of Afterimage GIS, Paul has 20+ years experience in the application of geographic information system (GIS) to the development of management systems for local government, and to academic research in environmental management.
