The Commatch 6005 Provides conversion between V5.2 and H.248 voice protocols.

Fixed line operators with legacy TDM switches are making the upgrade to support voice and data services over Digital subscriber line (DSL) technology with Multi-Service Access Gateways (MSAGs) or Multi-Service Access Nodes (MSANs).

The Commatch 6005 access gateway allows smooth transition between TDM networks to IP networks.

Rather than implementing a solution that includes a softswitch and a trunk gateway, operators can preserve the investment in TDM switches by placing the Commatch 6005 gateway between the IP network and the TDM switch, seamlessly transferring all basic voice and advanced telephony services, such as Caller ID, call waiting, fax and conferencing, to VoIP telephony service.

Using the Commatch 6005 access gateway, operators dramatically reduce costs and implementation time when upgrading a system to use MSAG/MSAN for providing last-mile access.
